Common Miniature Scales
- 1:12 (one-inch scale) — 1 in = 1 ft. The most popular dollhouse scale. Widest selection of kits, furniture, and accessories.
- 1:24 (half-inch scale) — 1 in = 2 ft. Half the size of 1:12. Great for smaller display spaces.
- 1:48 (quarter-inch scale) — 1 in = 4 ft. Very small; used by advanced collectors and competition miniaturists.
- 1:6 (fashion doll scale) — Compatible with Barbie and similar dolls. Larger than 1:12.
- 1:144 (dollhouse within a dollhouse) — Extremely tiny; used for miniatures-within-miniatures.
Scale Converter
Divide any real-world measurement (in inches) by the scale denominator to get the miniature size. For example, a 36-inch sofa at 1:12 scale = 36 ÷ 12 = 3 inches.
